Mindekirken’s Langfredag (Good Friday) Service is an emotional and musical event not to be missed. Join us on Friday April 18 at 7 pm with Mindekirken musicians Maggie Burr, soprano; Hui Chen, piano/organ; John De Haan, tenor; and Ariel Wilberg, soprano. Special guest Victoria Vargas, mezzo-soprano.

Listeners will enjoy learning about Hauge’s spoken words and best selling books sparked a spiritual renewal in the Lutheran churches of Norway. An artful tabletop of exhibit and portraits, photographs and Nordic artifacts will be displayed.

Presented by Mindekirken's Alle Kvinner Mission Lapskaus is a hearty Norwegian stew made with meat and vegetables. Served with coleslaw, flatbread, lingonberries, dessert, and coffee/tea.

Hans Nielsen Hauge—The Heart of His Message: Hans Nielsen Hauge is one of the most well known Norwegians. But what did he teach? Why were so many gripped by his message? Come and hear about the heart of the man who awakened Norway.

Leif’s program will include information about the Vikings and Leif Ericsson, the first European to set foot in North America, 500 years before Columbus. Leif was only 17 years old when this event occurred. He will share his memories expanding it to share about the Vikings.

Music at our 11 am service will be provided by the the King's Guard band, consisting of 76 kadetts. Join us in the church parking lot at 2 pm for a routine from the drill team. Free!
