Parking Updates

Parking Update: January 30, 2023

Please note... NEW Winter Parking Restrictions affecting street parking around Mindekirken - Parking banned on the EVEN-numbered sides:

  • 21st Street: Park on the south side of 21st Street, which is the side not adjacent to the front of the church.
  • 10th Avenue and Elliot Avenue: The odd side is on the east sides of the streets. This means:
    • On Elliot, you can park on the side adjacent to the new parking lot and the new Norway House Event Center (vehicle facing north).
    • On 10th Avenue, you can park on the side not adjacent to the main church (vehicle facing north).
Per Minneapolis: Parking will be banned on the EVEN numbered side of non-Snow-Emergency routes until April 1, unless conditions allow the City to lift the ban earlier. Parking is allowed on Snow Emergency routes, parkways, and the ODD numbered side of non-Snow Emergency routes, unless otherwise posted.  Drivers parking in Minneapolis must follow these Winter Parking Restrictions, or they could be ticketed and towed. Click here for full info.

  • All parking lots are open: North, Canopy and West

    • Enter from 10th Avenue or Elliot Avenue
    • Unfortunately, the lots are not striped this winter so please park carefully, making room for as many as possible.

  • Handicapped Access: At the canopy-covered entrance via the parking lots

    • From 21st Street there is a new sidewalk along the west side of the church that takes you into the parking lot, where you can go to the canopy entrance.

  • For more parking: Check 21st Street, 10th Avenue, Elliot Avenue and other side streets.

Thank you for your patience!

Mange takk!
